Delighted to attend the Private View of Salt and Silver at Tate Britain and to marvel at the treasures on show, all from the collection of Michael Wilson. The opening room of Talbots was particularly special. Rather than the expected dark walls and dim light it was refreshingly contemporary to see these jewels on white walls and in brighter light than is usual. Hardly, the first ever show of salt prints in Britain as the Tate’s press release boldly declares, but nevertheless a special and remarkable show.
